Cristina Mursuli
Dr. Cristina Mursuli grew up in Inverness, a northwest suburb of Chicago. She moved to Macon, Georgia on a Division 1 soccer scholarship to play goalkeeper at Mercer University, and completed a bachelor’s degree in both Biology and Spanish. Before pursuing her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian. She moved to a rural village in the northeast region of Thailand to teach English to secondary school children. Aside from teaching, she helped vaccinate stray dogs in her community and realized how imperative it is for veterinarians to help their local communities improve animal welfare. After a year abroad, she completed her veterinary degree at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. She is eager to continue utilizing her teaching skills through client education to encourage pet owners to provide the best care for their furry family members. Her clinical interests include internal medicine, ultrasonography, alternative therapies, and surgery. In her downtime, she loves to play soccer and explore new locations around the globe for travel and outdoor activities. She is a pet parent to two litter-mate cats, Astro and Comet, and a new puppy, Sully.
